Why Support minne✱?

minne✱ is the leading technology community organization in Minnesota. Over 2,000 technologists attend our events every year, and our mailing list reaches more than 3,700 people in addition to 1,700 that follow us on Twitter. Our community includes the vanguard of the Minnesota technology industry: the leaders, innovators, and builders who make things happen. minne✱ brings them together and forms connections that help our community improve their skills, grow their careers and businesses, and helps our state build its economy. Investing in minne✱ invests in the future of technology innovation in Minnesota.

As a sponsor, you will reach a highly educated, tech-savvy audience of individuals that earn good money and also appreciate emerging ideas, thought leadership, technology, and fresh points of view. Many of these people are entrepreneurs or wish to become entrepreneurs; others are thought leaders in their companies. They are or will be seeking professional services to aid them in developing their ideas, growing their ventures, and launching their products.

Why the Change in Sponsorship?

Previously, minne✱ has solicited sponsorship on a per-event basis. Going forward, we are focusing on seeking annual financial support for minne✱ itself. We are making this change primarily so that we can improve our events and focus on content and format improvements. We hope to minimize fund-raising activities (freeing us up to do more improving), simplify giving for our supporters and provide us with greater flexibility and a longer-term planning capability.

We already receive high marks from our attendees, but we can do more. We hope to provide better food and drink, professionally recorded sessions and demos for distribution online, improve our website and online community capabilities, and even increase the number of events per year.

These changes will greatly strengthen minne✱ and the Minnesota tech community. This translates to more value for your sponsorship dollar.

Sponsoring Partner

For a contribution of $12,000 in 2012, your company will be listed as a Sponsoring Partner for all our events for the 2012 cycle. This will include, at minimum, MinneBar, two MinneDemo events, and our MinneBar-B-Cue summer social, but may include other events as well.

Benefits

• Invited to address the crowd at each event
• Invited to send a special message to our community as part of email correspondence.
• Your company may provide handbills, marketing materials, or swag at the events
• Priority registration for 10 people to each event
• Limited edition event swag for 10 people (select events)
• 1st-tier logo placement in all media & correspondence
• Pre-roll logo placement for all minne✱ video recordings during 2012
• Mentions in buzz (Tweets and additional social media efforts) during 2012
• Sponsorship mention in all press releases
• Added to Sponsorship “Hall of Fame” Page

Limit 3.

Sustaining Donor

For a contribution of $8,000 in 2012, your company will be listed as a Sustaining Donor for all events during the 2012 cycle. This will include, at minimum, MinneBar, two MinneDemo events and our MinneBar-B-Cue summer social, but may include other events as well.

• Custom message can be delivered to audience at event of your choice
• Your company may provide handbills, marketing materials, or swag at the events
• Priority registration for 4 people to each event
• Limited edition event swag for 4 people (select events)
• 2nd-tier logo placement in all media & correspondence
• Mentions in buzz (Tweets and additional social media efforts) during 2012
• Sponsorship mention in all press releases
• Added to Sponsorship “Hall of Fame” Page

Limit 6.

Event Sponsor

We will continue to offer per-event sponsorship; however, there will be a reduced number of spots to accommodate the Sponsoring Partners and Sustaining Donors. This is a good opportunity for smaller companies to raise their profile with our community. An organization may only be an event sponsor once per year. Cost of these sponsorships will vary.

• 3rd-tier logo placement in all media & correspondence about the sponsored event
• Priority registration for 4 people for the event
• Sponsorship mention in all press releases related to the event

There is a limit of two spots per event (four at MinneBar).

Community Supporter

For a contribution of $100, you will receive priority registration for all minne✱ events for one year, membership to our private minne✱ Supporters email group, and (at your option) your name and link on our list of community supporters on our website.

Benefits

• Priority registration for each minne✱ event
• Limited edition event swag (select events)
• Membership in minne✱ Supporters email discussion group (at your option)
• Name and link on our list of community supporters on our website
